Mountain Star Roofing Systems is expanding and seeking an experienced Commercial Roofing Takeoff / Estimator to support our growing commercial division. This individual must be detail-oriented, technically sharp, and confident in preparing accurate bids.
Responsibilities:
Perform detailed roofing takeoffs using estimating software Prepare accurate cost estimates, bids, and proposals Analyze blueprints, specifications, and job documents Coordinate with suppliers for material pricing Assist sales and management in bid strategy Track bid deadlines and ensure timely submissions Support project managers during handoff and startup Provide value-engineering options when possible
Requirements:
Minimum 3 years of estimating or commercial roofing experience Strong understanding of TPO, EPDM, PVC, coatings, metal systems, and commercial assemblies Proficiency in takeoff tools (Planswift, Bluebeam, or similar) Ability to read and interpret plans, drawings, specs Strong math, documentation, and organizational skills Excellent communication and time management Self-motivated and able to meet deadlines consistently
