Job Description

Position Summary DAP Construction Management is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Construction Administrator / Junior Estimator to support both our project management and preconstruction teams. This hybrid role is ideal for someone looking to grow within the construction industry while gaining hands-on experience in project coordination, estimating, subcontractor communication, and construction administration. The selected candidate will assist with daily project operations, bid preparation, document management, and coordination efforts to help ensure projects are completed efficiently and successfully. Key Responsibilities Construction Administration Assist Project Managers with day-to-day project coordination and administrative support Prepare and distribute RFIs, submittals, change orders, purchase orders, and subcontract agreements Maintain organized project documentation and electronic filing systems Coordinate communication between field staff, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients Track permits, insurance certificates, schedules, and project updates Assist with meeting minutes, project logs, and document tracking Support certified payroll, as needed Estimating Support Review project plans, specifications, and bid documents Perform quantity takeoffs and assist with preparing project estimates Solicit and follow up on subcontractor and supplier pricing Assist with bid leveling, scope comparisons, and proposal preparation Attend site visits, pre-bid meetings, and walkthroughs when required Help maintain subcontractor and vendor databases Qualifications Previous construction administration, estimating, or construction experience preferred Degree in Construction Management or related field preferred, but not required Strong organizational and multitasking skills Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Outlook Excellent communication and teamwork abilities High attention to detail and willingness to learn Benefits Opportunities for professional growth and career advancement 401(k) with company match Eligibility to enroll in medical, dental, and vision insurance Company-paid life insurance and short-term disability (STD) coverage Additional Requirements This position may require access to U.S. Military bases.
