In this role, you will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, analyzing project specifications, and collaborating closely with clients, vendors, and project teams to ensure competitive pricing and successful project execution. Your expertise will help us deliver high-quality electrical solutions efficiently while maintaining strict cost control standards. Duties Develop comprehensive electrical cost estimates by reviewing project plans, specifications, and contract documents using tools like Bluebeam and HeavyBid software. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to understand project scope, technical requirements, and budget constraints. Conduct detailed quantity takeoffs for electrical materials and labor costs in accordance with NEC (National Electrical Code) standards. Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to secure competitive pricing while ensuring quality standards are met. Prepare bid proposals that accurately reflect project costs, timelines, and resource allocations. Monitor project budgets throughout the bidding process and during execution to ensure adherence to cost control objectives. Assist in contract review and management, ensuring all electrical work aligns with contractual obligations and construction management plans. Utilize construction estimating software such as HeavyBid to streamline the estimation process and improve accuracy. Support project management teams by providing detailed cost analysis, risk assessments, and value engineering suggestions. Experience Proven experience in construction estimating within the electrical or heavy civil industries. Strong background in electrical systems design, installation practices, and construction site operations. Familiarity with NEC (National Electrical Code) regulations and safety standards related to electrical work. Hands-on experience with Bluebeam for digital plan review and markup processes. Skilled in negotiation techniques to secure favorable pricing from vendors and subcontractors. Knowledge of construction contracts, project management principles, and cost control methodologies. Prior experience using HeavyBid or similar estimating software is highly desirable. Construction site experience that provides insight into field operations and project execution challenges is a plus.
