Texas , Lancaster Job Description Estimator Be a part of a well-established organization in the lumber and building materials industry, recognized for delivering high-quality structural framing packages for residential and commercial projects. We are seeking a detail-oriented Lumber Estimator with proven expertise in material take-offs, cost analysis, and a strong understanding of wood construction methods, building codes, and industry best practices.
Job Type:
Full Time, On-site Responsibilities for the
Estimator:
Perform accurate material take-offs for framing lumber, sheathing, and related components from architectural and structural drawings. Collaborate with procurement to develop cost analyses and competitive bid packages. Partner with design, sales, and field operations teams to ensure accuracy and timely project delivery. Utilize estimating software such as PlanSwift, Trade Tek, or similar platforms. Maintain organized records of all estimates, bids, and supporting documentation. Requirements of the
Estimator:
3+ years of experience estimating framing packages for residential or commercial construction. Strong ability to read and interpret architectural and structural plans. In-depth knowledge of wood framing methods, materials, and building codes. Excellent math skills with keen attention to detail. Highly organized with strong communication and collaboration abilities.
