Red Elephant is seeking a Lead Estimator to take ownership of our estimating process for custom architectural signage projects. In this role, you'll create accurate, competitive, and profitable estimates while partnering with sales, design, production, and project management teams to deliver unforgettable results for our clients. We're looking for a detail-oriented estimator with deep industry knowledge who thrives in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Lead the preparation of detailed cost estimates for custom architectural signage projects, including interior, exterior, wayfinding, ADA-compliant, and branded systems. Analyze design drawings, specifications, material requirements, and manufacturing methods to develop accurate labor and material projections. Partner with sales, design, and project management teams to ensure estimates align with scope, client needs, and feasibility. Source and maintain accurate pricing from suppliers, subcontractors, and fabrication teams. Build and refine estimating tools, templates, and cost databases for efficiency and consistency. Review design concepts to identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality. Participate in proposals, RFP responses, and value engineering efforts. Mentor junior estimators or support staff, sharing best practices and technical expertise. Stay current on industry trends, materials, fabrication techniques, and production capacities. Requirements 5+ years of estimating experience in architectural signage, fabrication, or related manufacturing industries. Strong knowledge of sign materials (aluminum, acrylic, vinyl, LED lighting, etc.), production techniques (CNC routing, laser cutting, painting, etc.), and installation methods. Proficiency with estimating software, Excel, and able to read technical drawings and blueprints. Excellent analytical, mathematical, and organizational skills with keen attention to detail. Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively across teams. Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Preferred:

Experience with custom or high-end signage for corporate, healthcare, hospitality, or institutional clients. Familiarity with ADA signage requirements and local building codes.
