Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Construction Estimator to join our team and drive the success of our upcoming projects. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, analyzing project plans and specifications, and collaborating closely with project managers, clients, and subcontractors. Your expertise will help ensure competitive pricing, effective cost control, and seamless project execution. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional eager to contribute to high-quality construction projects across diverse sectors. Duties Review project plans, specifications, and bid documents to develop comprehensive estimates. Utilize software such as Planswift. ConstructConnect and others to prepare detailed cost proposals. Conduct site visits to gather on-the-ground insights and validate project scope. Collaborate with subcontractors and suppliers through negotiation to secure favorable pricing and terms. Perform cost analysis, quantity takeoffs, and pricing evaluations to ensure accuracy. Assist in contract negotiations and review contractual terms related to project costs. Monitor project budgets during construction to support cost control efforts and identify potential overruns early. Coordinate with project management teams to align estimates with project timelines, scope, and resources. Experience Proven experience in construction estimating within commercial or heavy civil projects. Strong proficiency with Bluebeam for digital plan review and markup. Familiarity with HeavyBid or similar estimating software is highly desirable. Demonstrated ability in construction management, contracts, and project coordination. Solid understanding of construction site operations, safety protocols, and materials procurement. Excellent negotiation skills coupled with a keen eye for detail in pricing strategies. Prior experience in cost control, budgeting, and financial analysis related to construction projects.
