Collaborate closely with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to gather accurate pricing information and clarify project requirements. Prepare comprehensive bid proposals that include labor, materials, equipment costs, and contingency allowances. Conduct negotiations with suppliers and subcontractors to secure favorable pricing and terms that optimize project budgets. Monitor and control costs throughout the estimating process to ensure accuracy and competitiveness. Review and interpret contracts, scope of work, and project schedules to develop precise estimates aligned with project goals. Support project management teams during contract award negotiations and assist in resolving cost-related issues during project execution. Requirements Proven experience in construction estimating within commercial construction projects, with a strong understanding of construction management principles. Proficiency in estimating software such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam, along with a solid grasp of construction estimating techniques. Demonstrated ability to perform detailed quantity takeoffs, pricing analysis, and cost control measures. Strong negotiation skills to secure competitive bids from suppliers and subcontractors. Hands-on construction site experience that provides practical insight into project execution and costs. Knowledge of contracts, project management processes, and construction safety standards. Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members, clients, and vendors.
