Senior Leadership Position Overview The Aggregate Estimator manages the complete bidding and estimating process for construction and aggregate material projects. The role requires strong analytical skills, technical knowledge of construction materials and aggregates, and the ability to develop accurate, competitive cost estimates that support profitable project execution. Key Responsibilities Review bid opportunities, RFPs, plans, specifications, and project documents. Perform quantity takeoffs and material calculations. Prepare detailed estimates for labor, materials, equipment, trucking, subcontractors, and overhead. Analyze project risks and develop contingency plans. Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotations. Develop and submit bid proposals for public and private projects. Track estimated versus actual project costs and maintain cost databases. Present estimates and proposals to management and clients. Utilize estimating software such as HCSS HeavyBid, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Excel. Coordinate with project managers, vendors, and suppliers throughout the bidding process. Qualifications Minimum 5 years of estimating experience in aggregate, civil, commercial, or heavy construction. Strong understanding of aggregate materials, construction methods, and industry standards. Experience with quantity takeoffs, cost analysis, and bid preparation. Excellent organizational, communication, and negotiation skills. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred (equivalent experience may be accepted). $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
