Duties Prepare comprehensive cost estimates for commercial construction projects by analyzing project plans, specifications, and other bid documents. Utilize estimating software such as

XACTIMATE

to develop precise budgets and proposals. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to review project scope, clarify requirements, and negotiate terms to secure favorable contracts. Conduct detailed quantity takeoffs, pricing analysis, and cost control assessments to ensure accurate bid submissions. Review and interpret construction contracts, ensuring all estimates align with contractual obligations and project specifications. Assist in the development of project schedules, resource planning, and procurement strategies. Support project management teams during the bidding process and provide ongoing cost monitoring throughout project execution. Experience Proven experience in construction estimating within commercial or heavy civil projects. Strong proficiency with estimating tools such as Xactimate, HeavyBid and Bluebeam. Demonstrated ability to negotiate effectively with subcontractors, suppliers, and clients. In-depth knowledge of construction estimating processes, cost control measures, and pricing strategies. Hands-on construction site experience coupled with a solid understanding of construction management principles. Familiarity with contract review, project management practices, and safety standards on construction sites. Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams and present detailed estimates confidently.
