Job Description

Wasatch West Contracting is looking for a part-time Bid Coordinator to support our estimating team at our office in Farmington, Utah. This is a flexible, in-office position that is well-suited for someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, dependable, and comfortable working with computers, documents, calendars, and deadlines. This role will help our estimating team track bid opportunities, download plans and specifications, set up project folders, send bid invitations to subcontractors, monitor bid dates and mandatory pre-bid meetings, and keep project information organized and current. This is not an estimator position, and prior estimating experience is not required. The right person will be accurate, computer-savvy, able to manage multiple deadlines, and comfortable reviewing bid documents to pull out key details such as dates, times, project requirements, and submission instructions. The Bid Coordinator helps ensure that Wasatch West Contracting identifies viable bid opportunities, sets up each opportunity correctly, keeps the estimating team informed, and prevents missed deadlines, incomplete bid information, or disorganized project files.
Responsibilities include:
Tracking upcoming bid opportunities and bid deadlines Downloading and organizing plans, specifications, addenda, and bid documents Setting up electronic project folders Sending bid invites to subcontractors and suppliers Maintaining bid calendars and pre-bid meeting schedules Helping ensure mandatory pre-bid meetings are attended Supporting the estimating team with document organization and follow-up Ideal candidate: Very detail-oriented and organized Strong computer skills Comfortable with PDFs, email, calendars, spreadsheets, and online portals Reliable with deadlines and follow-up Professional in communication Interested in learning the commercial construction bidding process
Pay:
$20.00 - $25.00 per hour
