Job Description
Kartchner Homes is looking for a driven, detail-oriented Estimator to join our growing team in Logan, Utah. We're looking for someone who takes ownership, values accuracy, solves problems proactively, and wants to help build efficient, profitable projects. This role is critical to the success of our homes and townhome projects by ensuring estimates, budgets, and purchase orders are accurate, timely, and aligned with project goals. Responsibilities Prepare accurate estimates, budgets, and purchase orders for residential construction projects Perform quantity takeoffs and review construction documents for completeness and accuracy Review and evaluate construction costs and pricing Create and manage Variance Purchase Orders (VPOs) Communicate changes, pricing updates, and project needs with trades and internal teams Conduct job walks to ensure field conditions match plans, specifications, and estimates Assist in improving production efficiencies and reducing material waste Help solve problems proactively to keep projects profitable and on schedule What We're Looking For Experience in estimating, purchasing, accounting, or residential construction Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to analyze costs and solve problems efficiently Effective communication and relationship-building skills Self-motivated with a high level of accountability Continuous learner with a desire to improve systems and processes Training & Development Kartchner Homes is committed to helping team members grow professionally through hands-on training, coaching, and continued education.
