This isn't an entry-level "plug numbers into a spreadsheet" role. At Winward Electric in Ogden, Utah, we're looking for someone who knows electrical construction inside and out... and can turn that knowledge into smart, competitive, win - worthy bids.

$100,000 - $115,00/annually + bonuses

What You'll Be Doing (Where You Make Your Impact) Own the estimating process from start to finish-plans, specs, scope, all of it Break down projects into real costs: labor, materials, equipment, subs Lead quantity takeoffs and make sure nothing gets missed (because missed = expensive) Work closely with project managers, vendors, and subcontractors to build competitive bids Attend site walks and pre-bid meetings to get the real story behind the plans Identify value engineering opportunities (save money without cutting corners) Submit clean, accurate, on-time proposals-no last-minute chaos Help hand projects off smoothly once the job is won What's the Job Like Fast-paced and deadline-driven-bid days aren't for the faint of heart A mix of independent work and constant collaboration Lots of problem-solving-plans are rarely perfect, and that's where you come in High visibility-your work directly impacts whether the company wins or loses projects What You Bring to the Table 6+ years in electrical construction 6+ years of estimating experience (commercial/industrial preferred) Strong knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and construction practices Experience with estimating software like Accubid, Bluebeam, or similar Ability to read blueprints like a second language A sharp eye for detail and the ability to juggle multiple bids at once Solid communication skills-you can talk to engineers, PMs, and vendors without things getting lost in translation Why Winward Electric?
