This position provides essential administrative and coordination support to ensure accurate, timely project estimates and smooth day-to-day office operations. The ideal candidate is organized, eager to learn, and capable of managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities included, but are not limited to: Work with existing suppliers and subcontractors to solicit quotes and review quotes for completeness in relation to plans and specifications. Leveraging standard templates to develop scope letters outlining inclusions, exclusions, and clarifications for estimates. Generate and maintain in-house unit price data for various components of work Communicate clearly the budget, schedule, and other major issues to the Project Manager Maintain job cost history analysis required to provide cost data for future projects Maintain files of working documents for backup to estimating assumptions and methodologies. Manage paperwork requirements of bidding and proposals Commit to deadlines in a timely fashion Attend on-site pre-bid proposals and job meetings as needed Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and clients Maintain subcontractor database and forge relationships with high-quality subcontractors Assist Project Manager with subcontract award and bid analysis Use Microsoft Project to create an initial project schedule and critical path Provide support in tracking material orders for projects Contributes to the timely completion of all client-required documents. Take "ownership" of all activities; participate in company functions/meetings; adhere to corporate goals, policies, and procedures; act with integrity, building trust and professionalism Duties outlined reflect the general scope of the role and are not exhaustive; additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed .
Qualifications:
Requires 1-2 years of experience in commercial construction or education equivalent Ability to read blueprints, specifications and building code knowledge in the state of Virginia is preferred Excellent oral and written communication skills Strong time management skills Passion for excellence Teachable with a desire to learn and grow Achievement-oriented Ability to prioritize work Autonomous and accountable Maintain healthy, sustained subcontractor relationships Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite. Preference to a candidate with working knowledge of
