Job Description

We are hiring an experienced Residential Construction Estimator to perform quantitative take offs on new home plans. This role is 100% in person working in our Richmond, VA office. This position requires a passionate and detail-oriented individual who can meet deadlines and is focused. The ideal candidate will have significant estimating experience in residential construction and have the following: Prepare and review lot specific budgets including but not limited to reviewing cost estimates and preparing bank budgets. Review master take-offs against lot specific estimates and make appropriate changes when required to ensure correct take-offs are being maintained at master level. Work with trade partners, vendors, architectural services and production department to reconcile discrepancies in take-offs. Review and quantify custom option requests and present for pricing Determine value engineering opportunities on current product offerings and present to management and on an ongoing basis Qualifications The ideal candidate for the position should meet or exceed the following qualifications: 3 years of experience in the residential construction industry Bachelor's degree preferred Excellent communication - polished and professional, be detail-oriented and highly accountable; Strong negotiation skills, Competency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook; Ability to perform job tasks accurately and efficiently, with minimal supervision and high level of integrity; Ability to make cost effective decisions, quickly and easily; Works comfortably independently and as part of a collaborative, positive team Benefits offered include excellent compensation, comprehensive medical, dental, vision and prescription coverage, a 401(k) with a company match, short and long term disability insurance, generous paid time off and company holidays and much more!
