Job Description

As a Construction Analyst at the GS-0828-12, some of your typical work assignments may include: Approving the Preliminary Damage Assessments ( PDAs) and survey reports. Verify cause and extent of damage to residential and business structures and facilities characterized by complex design features. Determines pre-disaster condition of all disaster damaged property. Performs or coordinates disaster damage surveys (PDAs), in coordination with FEMA, state and local officials.
IMPORTANT NOTES
This is a permanent position, which is a competitive service status position with a full-time work schedule. The salary will be based on your official duty station.

Mandatory Overtime:
To respond quickly and efficiently to disaster survivors, substantial compensated overtime hours may be required during heightened disaster activity. If required to travel to a disaster site, you may encounter hazardous working and/or living conditions, for example, no water or electricity and/or minimal lodging facilities. A valid driver's license may be required.
