Job Description
What You'll Do Fire & Contents Loss Assessment Inspect residential and commercial fire/smoke losses Assess structural and contents damage Determine restoration scope, cleaning methods, pack-out needs, and deodorization requirements Document losses with photos, sketches, measurements, and notes Estimating & Insurance Coordination Build detailed estimates using Xactimate Utilize Symbility when required by insurance carriers Write supplements and scope revisions as projects evolve Communicate directly with adjusters to support timely approvals Maintain accurate job documentation and organized project files Contents Management Coordinate pack-outs, inventory, storage, and contents restoration Utilize Contents Track for inventory management and documentation Use DocuSketch for floor plans, measurements, and estimating support Customer Communication Guide customers through the restoration process with professionalism and empathy Maintain proactive communication with homeowners, property managers, adjusters, and internal teams Help create a smooth and positive customer experience during stressful situations Project Coordination Work closely with project managers, field technicians, and office staff Ensure scopes align with field conditions and production needs Support efficient job progression and change management throughout the project lifecycle What We're Looking For Experience 2+ years in restoration estimating, insurance adjusting, or construction estimating Fire, smoke, soot, and contents restoration experience strongly preferred Experience working with insurance carriers and claims processes Technical Skills Proficiency in Xactimate (required) Experience with Symbility preferred Experience using Contents Track, Encircle, or similar contents inventory platforms Familiarity with DocuSketch preferred Strong organizational, documentation, and communication skills
