Position Overview As an Electrical Construction Estimator , you will develop accurate and competitive cost estimates for a diverse portfolio of electrical construction projects across multiple business lines, including: Transmission and Distribution (T&D) Substations and grid infrastructure Industrial and construction electrical work (inside wiring / MV systems) Renewable energy and power generation Civil and electrical foundation scopes You will evaluate bid documents, drawings, and specifications to ensure all aspects of the project scope—labor, materials, equipment, subcontractors, and indirect costs—are fully captured and aligned with execution strategy. This role is ideal for a detail‑oriented professional who thrives in a fast‑paced environment and enjoys working across multiple project types and disciplines . Key Responsibilities Review and analyze bid specifications, construction drawings, and contract requirements across multiple electrical construction scopes Perform detailed quantity takeoffs and cost estimates for labor, materials, and equipment Solicit, evaluate, and level subcontractor and vendor pricing to ensure complete and competitive bids Identify constructability challenges, scope gaps, risks, and value‑engineering opportunities Collaborate with Project Managers, Engineers, and Operations teams to align estimates with field execution plans Prepare clear, accurate, and organized estimate documentation and bid packages Participate in bid reviews, turnover meetings, and pricing strategy discussions Track bid outcomes and support budget validation and continuous improvement efforts Why Michels Power, Inc.?
