You will leverage your deep technical expertise to transform complex customer requirements into precise, competitive quotes that ensure project success and long-term client partnerships. Responsibilities Develop comprehensive cost estimates by evaluating material, labor, tooling, and secondary processing requirements. Interpret intricate blueprints, CAD models, and technical specifications to ensure accurate project scoping. Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering and production teams to identify cost-saving manufacturing methods. Manage the full RFQ lifecycle, ensuring timely responses and clear communication regarding project timelines. Maintain rigorous documentation of quoting data to support continuous improvement in our estimating workflows. Analyze material utilization and production routing to optimize shop floor efficiency. Qualifications Required Skills 5+ years of professional experience in sheet metal fabrication or precision metal manufacturing. Advanced proficiency in reading engineering drawings, including GD&T standards. Deep technical knowledge of laser cutting, press brake forming, welding, and CNC machining processes. Proven ability to accurately price projects involving stainless steel, aluminum, and carbon steel. Strong analytical mindset with the ability to manage multiple high-priority quotes simultaneously. Preferred Skills Hands-on experience with ERP/MRP systems for production planning. Familiarity with CAD software and nesting optimization tools. Background in contract manufacturing environments. Relevant industry certifications such as APICS.
