Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Project Manager / Estimator with 5+ years of construction industry experience to oversee estimating, project execution, scheduling, budgeting, and client coordination for oil & gas construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in heavy dirt work, site development, reclamation, and fencing operations within the energy and municipal sectors. This role is responsible for managing projects from bid through completion while ensuring safety, quality, profitability, and client satisfaction. The successful candidate must be capable of working in fast-paced field environments, coordinating multiple crews and subcontractors, and maintaining strong communication with customers, vendors, and internal teams. Responsibilities Estimating Prepare accurate and competitive project estimates, bids, and proposals. Review drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and bid documents. Conduct site visits and field evaluations to determine labor, equipment, and material requirements. Develop quantity takeoffs for excavation, reclamation, fencing, grading, and related civil work. Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier pricing. Analyze production rates, equipment utilization, and labor costs. Assist with contract negotiations and scope clarifications. Identify project risks and recommend cost-effective solutions. Maintain estimating databases, unit pricing, and historical cost information Project Management Manage projects from award through closeout. Develop project schedules, budgets, and work plans. Coordinate manpower, equipment, materials, subcontractors, and logistics. Monitor project progress and ensure work is completed safely, on schedule, and within budget. Track costs, change orders, production rates, and profitability. Maintain communication with customers, landowners, inspectors, and regulatory agencies. Prepare and submit RFIs, submittals, change orders, progress billings, and project documentation. Conduct regular project meetings with field supervisors and management. Ensure compliance with company policies, client requirements, and industry regulations. Resolve project issues and field challenges efficiently. Oversee project closeout, punch lists, and final documentation. Skills Strong leadership and decision-making abilities. Ability to work independently and in team environments. Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills. Ability to manage changing priorities and deadlines. High attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to interpret production reports and cost tracking data using HeavyJob software. Ability to work in outdoor environments and travel to job sites as needed.
Pay:
$85,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
