Job Description

Are you experienced in commercial floor care and specialty cleaning? Do you take pride in restoring and maintaining floors to a high standard? We're looking for a Floor Care & Special Projects Technician to join our team and handle floor maintenance and large-scale specialty cleaning projects across multiple facilities. This is a hands-on position for someone experienced with stripping, waxing, buffing, burnishing, carpet extraction, and commercial floor equipment who enjoys variety in their work and takes pride in quality results.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform commercial floor care services including stripping, waxing, sealing, buffing, burnishing, and floor restoration Operate floor machines, auto scrubbers, burnishers, carpet extractors, and pressure washing equipment Complete carpet cleaning, deep cleaning, and specialty cleaning projects Support post-construction cleanup, special event cleaning, and emergency response projects Identify flooring types and use proper chemicals, pads, and procedures for each surface Maintain and clean equipment to ensure safe and effective operation Move furniture and equipment as needed for project completion Follow all safety procedures and properly use PPE Maintain accurate records of completed work, supplies, and equipment usage
What We're Looking For:
2+ years of commercial floor care or specialty cleaning experience preferred Strong experience with stripping, waxing, buffing, burnishing, and carpet extraction Knowledge of floor finishes, cleaning chemicals, and commercial floor equipment Ability to work independently and maintain high-quality standards Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical work for extended periods Strong attention to detail and reliability Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Flexible schedule - evenings, weekends, and occasional holidays may be required
Preferred Experience:
Hard floor restoration and maintenance programs Operating propane or battery-powered floor equipment Pressure washing and post-construction cleaning Working in commercial facilities such as schools, offices, medical buildings, or industrial sites
Pay:
$45,000.00 - $52,000.00 per year
