Lead Tile and Stone Installer

POSITION SUMMARY

The Lead Tile & Stone Installer is responsible for executing high-quality tile and stone installations while leading jobsite workflow and ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to Padilla Tile's craftsmanship standards. This role oversees layout planning, installation execution, apprentice guidance, and overall jobsite coordination. The Lead Installer serves as the field expert responsible for delivering professional tile installations including floors, showers, backsplashes, custom stone work, and specialty tile applications. The ideal candidate combines strong technical installation skills with leadership and jobsite management capabilities.

OBJECTIVES

Execute professional tile and stone installations across floors, walls, showers, and custom applications. Perform accurate layout planning to ensure symmetrical and visually balanced installations. Measure and cut tile and stone materials precisely using professional cutting equipment. Prepare surfaces including leveling, waterproofing, and substrate preparation. Install tile using proper adhesives, mortars, and setting techniques. Apply grout, sealants, and finishing materials to ensure durability and aesthetic quality. Lead apprentices and crew members in installation workflow and jobsite responsibilities. Maintain organized, safe, and efficient jobsite conditions. Ensure projects remain aligned with timelines and installation schedules. Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards are met before project completion. Communicate with project managers or homeowners regarding project progress when necessary. Maintain tools, equipment, and materials to ensure professional installation execution.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
