Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Hardwood Flooring Installer & Sand/Finish Craftsman to deliver exceptional craftsmanship in accordance with National Wood Flooring Association (NWFA) standards while providing outstanding customer service. This role serves residential and commercial clients, including homeowners, interior designers, architects, custom homebuilders, and general contractors. Key Responsibilities Installation, Sanding & Finishing Read and execute work orders accurately and efficiently Install hardwood flooring with precision and craftsmanship Perform sanding and refinishing, including stain application and finishing Operate equipment safely and skillfully, including: Floor nailers, compressors Drum sanders, edgers, buffers Dust containment systems Table saws, miter saws, orbital sanders Vacuum systems and related tools Maintain a clean, safe, and organized job site Safety & Equipment Follow all company and industry safety standards Lift up to 75 lbs regularly (equipment can be broken down) Safely handle and dispose of solvent-based stains, finishes, sanding dust, and flammable materials per policy Safely operate company vehicles in all weather conditions Perform weekly maintenance on tools, equipment, and company vehicles Customer Service & Communication Deliver a professional, high-end customer experience Clearly communicate project steps, timelines, stain options, and safety considerations Proactively communicate schedules and arrival times with clients and internal team members Maintain a low warranty call-back rate by solving problems proactively General Duties Arrive at the warehouse by 6:30 AM and work full days as scheduled Assist with warehouse or other hourly tasks during schedule gaps as needed Demonstrate passion for the trade and a commitment to continuous skill improvement Key Performance Measures Customer satisfaction Warranty rate Project productivity and efficiency Qualifications Experience in hardwood flooring installation and/or sand & finish work preferred Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship Ability to work independently and as part of a team Reliable, punctual, and professional Valid driver's license preferred Why Join Us?
