To perform drywall repair and finishing as part of maintenance and repair activities on a commercial construction project in Miami-Dade County. This role requires experience in professional drywall finishing systems and adherence to established finishing standards.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform drywall crack repairs, patching, and surface restoration.
  • Apply joint compound, skim coating, and multi-stage sanding to achieve uniform finish levels.
  • Prepare repaired surfaces for coating, ensuring proper texture and alignment with existing conditions.
  • Perform localized finishing work consistent with maintenance scope.
  • Coordinate with other trades to ensure proper sequencing of repair and finishing activities.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in drywall finishing or related work.
  • Experience with taping, finishing, sanding, and skim coating systems.
  • Ability to meet finish quality standards and match existing conditions.
  • OSHA 10 Hour Certification.
Specialized Equipment & Technical Proficiency:
Candidates must be proficient in the use of drywall finishing tools and systems, including:
  • Professional taping knives, trowels, and hawks
  • Sanding systems and surface preparation tools
  • Mixing equipment for joint compounds and finishing materials Candidates must demonstrate the ability to execute consistent finishing work in accordance with established procedures and quality standards.
Hourly Rate as per the
MIAMI-DADE COUNTY 2-11.16 CODE OF MIAMI-DADE COUNTY RESPONSIBLE WAGES AND BENEFITS SCHEDULE.
Fringes and Benefits paid thru cash.
