Job Description

Floor Coating Service Technician Job Summary We are looking for a detail-oriented and dependable Floor Coating Service Technician to join our team. This role involves the preparation, installation, repair, and maintenance of high-performance polyaspartic and resinous flooring systems at commercial, industrial, and residential sites. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with flooring products, understands surface preparation and coating techniques, and is committed to delivering top-quality results and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities Surface Preparation:
Grind, shot blast, or scarify concrete surfaces to ensure proper coating adhesion.
Installation:
Apply primers, base coats, decorative flake or quartz systems, and topcoats as per project specifications.
Repairs and Maintenance:
Diagnose and repair damaged polyaspartic flooring, including patching cracks, re-coating, and refinishing surfaces.
Job Site Management:
Set up and break down job sites, ensuring materials and tools are ready and safely stored.
Quality Control:
Inspect finished surfaces for defects, correct application issues, and ensure a clean, professional finish.
Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and any on-site changes.
Customer Interaction:
Communicate professionally with clients on-site, explaining procedures and addressing concerns.
Safety Compliance:
Follow all OSHA, company, and site-specific safety protocols, including PPE use and chemical handling. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in construction or coatings preferred. 3+ year experience in Polyaspartic floor installation, painting, concrete coatings, or a related field (preferred but not required). Knowledge of floor preparation equipment such as grinders, vacuums, and shot blasters. Comfortable working with industrial chemicals, sealants, and resins.
Physically fit:
able to lift 50+ lbs, kneel, and stand for long periods. Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality, clean finishes. Valid driver's license; willingness to travel to local or regional job sites. Working Conditions Indoor and outdoor work environments, including warehouses, garages, and commercial facilities. Occasional evening or weekend shifts depending on project schedules. Exposure to dust, fumes, and solvents; proper PPE is provided.
