This role is responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining flooring materials during apartment turnovers and occupied unit work orders while ensuring quality craftsmanship and timely completion.

Responsibilities:

Complete flooring installations, repairs, and replacements within designated timelinesRemove existing flooring materials and properly dispose of debrisPrepare subfloors by leveling, patching, and addressing minor surface issues to ensure proper installationInstall carpet, vinyl, LVP, laminate, and tile flooring according to company standards and manufacturer specificationsInstall transitions, trim, baseboards, and finishing materials as neededInspect completed work to ensure craftsmanship meets quality and safety standardsMeasure and estimate materials needed for projects and maintain appropriate inventory levelsCoordinate with team members and vendors to ensure units are ready for installationMaintain tools, equipment, and a clean, safe work environmentDocument completed work and materials used as directedParticipate in ongoing technical and safety training programsTravel between multiple properties as needed QualificationsMinimum 1-3 years of flooring installation experience (multi-family or residential)•PreferredValid driver's license and reliable transportation•PreferredKnowledge of subfloor preparation and flooring installation techniquesExperience with carpet stretchers, seam irons, tile cutters, and other installation toolsStrong attention to detail and quality craftsmanshipWillingness to learn new trades and become cross trained when neededExcellent time management skills to meet turnover deadlinesAbility to lift heavy materials and perform physically demanding tasksHigh school diploma or equivalent required
