Tile Setter - Apprentice

We are seeking a motivated and dedicated Tile Setter Apprentice to join our team and embark on a rewarding journey in the tile setting trade. This position is ideal for individuals eager to learn the essential skills and techniques required for tile installation while working alongside experienced professionals. As an apprentice, you will gain hands-on experience and mentorship, ultimately leading to a career as a professional tile setter. No prior experience in construction is necessary!

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist Journeyperson Tile Setters in executing tile installation projects, including ceramic, porcelain, and natural stone.
• Learn to measure, cut, and shape tiles according to specified layouts, under the guidance of experienced professionals.
• Prepare surfaces for tile installation by cleaning, leveling, and applying adhesives as instructed.
• Observe and participate in the installation process, including layout planning, grouting, and sealing tile joints.
• Follow safety protocols and best practices on the job site to maintain a safe working environment.
• Attend training sessions and workshops to enhance your knowledge of materials, tools, and tile setting techniques.
• Develop problem-solving skills to address challenges that may arise during installation.

Qualifications:

• Strong interest in pursuing a career in the tile setting trade.
• No prior experience in construction is necessary; we are willing to train motivated candidates.
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
• Good physical condition and the ability to lift heavy materials.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to job sites.
