Construction Full Job Description Overview:
We are seeking a Flooring Installer to join our team. We are currently looking for a temporary, part time employee that can help fill in for vacations and time off for other employees as well as days that we are over booked for the staff we currently have. It may turn into a permanent position as business needs continue to rise. As a Flooring Installer, you will be responsible for installing various types of flooring materials, including sheet vinyl, hardwood, laminate, and LVP. This is a hands-on role that requires attention to detail and a strong understanding of flooring installation techniques.
Responsibilities:
  • prepare the work area for flooring installation
  • unloading flooring materials as needed
  • Install new flooring materials according to manufacturer instructions and industry standards
  • Ensure proper alignment and spacing of flooring materials
  • Use appropriate tools and equipment to cut and shape flooring materials
  • Apply adhesives, nails, or other fasteners to secure flooring materials in place
  • Inspect completed work for quality and accuracy
  • Clean up work area and dispose of waste materials properly
Skills:
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following skills:
  • Strong knowledge of different types of flooring materials and installation techniques
  • reliable transportation as we work all over the Treasure Valley
  • Ability to lift and move 50 lb boxes of flooring material multiple times daily
  • Ability to locate job site with Lot/Block description
  • demonstrate ability to read and understand instructions
  • Knowledge of floor care techniques to maintain the longevity of installed floors
  • Ability to install fixtures such as baseboards or transitions to complete the flooring installation
  • Understanding of restoration industry standards for repairing or replacing damaged floors We offer competitive pay rates based on experience and expertise.
