In this role, you will be responsible for installing a variety of flooring materials, including tile, hardwood, laminate, and vinyl, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship and customer satisfaction. Your expertise will contribute to transforming spaces and delivering exceptional results on every project. This position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about construction, remodeling, and flooring installation to showcase their skills in a fast-paced environment. Duties Measure and prepare work areas using schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to ensure precise installation. Remove existing flooring materials carefully, including water-damaged or worn surfaces, preparing the subfloor for new installation. Install various flooring types such as tile laying, hardwood, laminate, vinyl, and carpet with attention to detail and quality standards. Use hand tools and power tools effectively for cutting, fitting, caulking, trimming, and securing flooring materials. Perform floor care tasks such as buffing, sealing, and finishing to achieve a smooth and durable surface. Read schematics and blueprints to accurately follow design specifications during installation projects. Conduct restoration work on damaged floors or surfaces as needed within the restoration industry standards. Collaborate with team members on construction estimating and project planning to ensure timely completion of projects. Install fixtures, trim carpentry elements, cabinets, or other related components as part of remodeling or renovation projects. Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of debris safely throughout each project phase. Qualifications Proven experience in flooring installation including tile laying, carpet installation, or similar construction work. Strong knowledge of construction estimating, blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and floor care techniques. Skilled in using hand tools such as caulking guns, saws, chisels, as well as power tools like drills and sanders. Construction site experience with an understanding of safety protocols and proper equipment handling. Familiarity with water damage restoration processes and concrete finishing is a plus. Ability to perform remodeling tasks including cabinetry installation, construction painting, handyman repairs, and fixture setup. Knowledge of the restoration industry standards is advantageous for projects involving water damage or structural repairs. Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail to ensure precise installations.
