In this role, you will be responsible for installing a variety of flooring materials, including carpet, hardwood, laminate, and vinyl, ensuring precise craftsmanship and adherence to project specifications. Your expertise will help transform spaces, delivering high-quality results that meet client expectations. Duties Measure and prepare surfaces for flooring installation by reading blueprints and schematics accurately Cut, shape, and lay flooring materials using hand tools and power tools with precision Install tile, hardwood, laminate, vinyl, and other flooring types according to manufacturer guidelines and industry standards Perform surface preparation tasks such as leveling concrete or repairing water damage prior to installation Apply caulking, trim carpentry, and floor care techniques to ensure seamless finishes and aesthetic appeal Assist in restoration projects by removing old flooring, repairing subfloors, and restoring damaged areas Use schematics and blueprint reading skills to interpret project plans for accurate installation Operate various construction tools safely while maintaining a clean work environment Qualifications Proven experience in flooring installation, tile laying, or related construction fields with a strong understanding of construction estimating processes Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics, and technical drawings relevant to flooring projects Skilled in the use of hand tools such as saws, chisels, trowels, caulking guns, and other power tools required for installation tasks Knowledge of construction site safety protocols and experience working on diverse construction sites including remodeling and restoration projects Ability to perform water damage restoration tasks and handle floor care responsibilities effectively Experience with cabinet installation, fixture installation, carpentry, concrete finishing, painting, buffing or handyman work is a plus Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills; capable of interpreting technical instructions accurately Physical ability to lift heavy materials, stand for extended periods, and work in various environmental conditions Join our team as a Flooring Installer where your craftsmanship will make a lasting impact!
