Flooring Installer

Overview This is a 1099/contract position. Though it is a 1099 position, we are looking for consistent help with projects. We have a very busy schedule, with high-end residential work. This position is specific for a highly experienced flooring installer. We are not looking for helpers/apprentices at this time, but encourage people interested in the trade to reach out. In this role, you will be responsible for installing a variety of flooring materials, including tile, hardwood, laminate, and vinyl, ensuring each project meets high standards of quality and durability. Your hands-on skills will transform spaces, creating beautiful, functional environments that clients will love. Responsibilities Measure and prepare work areas accurately using blueprint reading and schematics to ensure precise installation. Install various flooring types such as tile, hardwood, laminate, vinyl, and carpet with attention to detail and craftsmanship. Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to cut, shape, and secure flooring materials. Perform surface preparation tasks including leveling, subfloor repair, water damage restoration, and floor care to create optimal installation conditions. Complete caulking, trim carpentry, fixture installation, and cabinet installation as needed to finish projects professionally. Read blueprints and schematics to interpret project specifications and ensure accurate execution. Assist with remodeling projects and construction site tasks related to flooring installation or restoration industry needs. Skills Extensive experience with flooring installation techniques across multiple materials. Strong knowledge of construction estimating and blueprint reading for accurate project planning. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, concrete finishing equipment, buffing machines, and other relevant construction tools. Background in carpentry, drywall finishing, caulking, painting, or handyman work is a plus. Familiarity with water damage restoration processes and floor care maintenance. Ability to interpret schematics and technical drawings accurately. Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on safety protocols on construction sites.
