Tile Setter Helper

Overview This is 4 months worth of Night Time back to back commercial jobs . 10 pm to 6 am . Join our dynamic construction team as a Tile Setter Helper and be a vital part of transforming spaces with precision and craftsmanship! In this energetic role, you will support experienced tile setters in preparing surfaces, handling materials, and assisting with installation projects. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills in various aspects of construction, including tile laying, surface preparation, and site management. Duties Assist with surface preparation such as leveling, cleaning, and setting up work areas for tile installation. Handle and organize tile materials, tools, and supplies to ensure efficient workflow on-site. Support the installation of tiles on floors, walls, backsplashes, and other surfaces under supervision. Operate hand tools and power tools safely to cut, shape, and install tiles according to project specifications. Read blueprints and schematics to understand layout plans and ensure accurate tile placement. Help with related tasks such as caulking, trim carpentry, grout application, and minor surface repairs. Maintain a clean work environment by disposing of debris and ensuring tools are stored properly. Requirements Prior construction site experience or familiarity with building projects is preferred but not required. Basic knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and safety procedures on construction sites. Ability to read blueprints or schematics is a plus; willingness to learn is essential. Strong work ethic with attention to detail and a proactive attitude toward safety. Physical stamina to stand, lift heavy materials, and perform manual tasks throughout the day. Exposure or experience with related trades such as plumbing, electrical work, masonry, or roofing is advantageous. Willingness to learn new skills including tile laying techniques and surface preparation methods.
