Epoxy Flooring / Polished Concrete Technician

Commercial Epoxy & Concrete Flooring Technician New England Surface Preparation -

Wakefield, MA Pay:

$28 - $38 per hour based on experience, attitude, and performance. New England Surface Preparation is seeking a dependable, motivated team member for commercial & residential epoxy flooring, polished concrete, and surface preparation work throughout the Greater Boston area and Southern NH. We are looking for someone who takes pride in quality work, works with purpose & urgency, and can operate with minimal supervision once trained. This is not an entry-level labor position. Commercial or residential epoxy flooring, polished concrete, surface prep, construction, mechanical, or equipment experience is preferred.

Our work includes:

Polished concrete Epoxy and urethane flooring systems Surface preparation Shot blasting and grinding Joint filling and concrete repairs Industrial, commercial, and residential flooring projects Applicants should be comfortable performing some or all of the following: Operate 5" and 7" grinders Edge grinding and detail work Vacuuming and cleanup Mixing and measuring materials Rolling and squeegee applications Material handling and equipment setup Working with epoxy and polished concrete flooring crews on active job sites Helpful experience includes: Polished concrete Epoxy flooring Concrete surface prep Running grinders or shot blast equipment Construction, driving & mechanical experience We are looking for team members who are: Reliable and on time Focused on quality Able to follow direction Organized and aware of surroundings Able to stay productive without constant supervision Respectful of equipment, tools, and job sites

Requirements:

Valid driver's license Reliable transportation Ability to work nights and occasional weekends Ability to lift and handle flooring equipment/materials Basic English communication is required Portuguese or Spanish language skills are helpful but not required OSHA 10 is a plus DOT medical card is a plus Respiratory fit test is a plus Most work is within 45 miles of Boston with occasional travel.
