In this role, you will be responsible for expertly installing a variety of tile surfaces, including floors, walls, and backsplashes, across residential and commercial projects. Your expertise will contribute to creating beautiful, durable finishes that meet high standards of quality and craftsmanship. Duties Measure and prepare surfaces for tile installation by assessing blueprints, schematics, and project specifications. Cut, shape, and lay tiles using hand tools and power tools with precision to ensure a seamless fit. Mix and apply mortar, grout, caulking, and sealants to secure tiles and prevent water damage. Read blueprints and schematics to determine layout patterns, elevations, and installation sequences. Install related fixtures such as trim carpentry elements, cabinets, or other surface finishes as needed. Perform surface preparation tasks including leveling floors or walls and restoring damaged areas for optimal tile adhesion. Maintain a clean work environment by properly handling tools, disposing of debris, and ensuring safety protocols are followed. Requirements Proven experience in tile laying, flooring installation, or related construction fields with a focus on tile work. Strong knowledge of construction estimating principles to assess project scope accurately. Familiarity with blueprint reading and schematics to interpret project plans effectively. Proficiency with hand tools (e.g., trowels, chisels) and power tools (e.g., saws, drills) used in tile installation. Experience working on construction sites with an understanding of safety standards and site protocols. Skills in carpentry, caulking, fixture installation, and restoration industry practices are highly desirable. Ability to handle water damage restoration tasks or floor care duties as part of comprehensive project work. Knowledge of the use of buffing equipment for finishing surfaces or maintaining flooring quality.
