Job Description
Overview We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Carpet Installer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in flooring installation and possess a strong understanding of various construction techniques. As a Carpet Installer, you will be responsible for ensuring that carpets are installed accurately and efficiently, providing high-quality workmanship that meets our clients' expectations. Responsibilities Measure and cut carpet to fit designated areas, ensuring precise dimensions for a seamless installation. Prepare the installation area by removing old flooring, cleaning surfaces, and making necessary repairs. Install carpet using appropriate tools and techniques, including power tools and hand tools. Apply adhesives and caulking as needed to secure carpet edges and seams. Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and provide recommendations for carpet selection and design. Conduct post-installation inspections to ensure quality standards are met and address any concerns promptly. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols at all times. Assist with additional tasks related to maintenance person services, water damage restoration, drywall repair, trim carpentry, concrete finishing, or other construction site duties as required. Skills Proven experience in flooring installation, particularly with carpets. Proficiency in using power tools and hand tools relevant to the trade. Knowledge of construction practices including caulking, drywall repair, and trim carpentry. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to restore damaged areas effectively. Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment. Strong communication skills to interact with clients professionally and effectively.
