This position is responsible for the preparation and application of specialty flooring systems and protective coatings on commercial, industrial, and restoration projects. The ideal candidate has experience with epoxy, urethane, waterproofing, and other flooring systems, along with a strong commitment to quality workmanship and jobsite safety.
Responsibilities & Duties:
Prepare surfaces through grinding, shot blasting, scarifying, patching, and cleaning Mix and apply specialty flooring and coating systems including epoxy, urethane, and cementitious products Install decorative and functional flooring systems in commercial and industrial environments Apply floor coatings, wall coatings, waterproofing systems, and sealants according to manufacturer specifications Operate and maintain flooring and coating equipment including grinders, vacuums, mixers, and sprayers Ensure proper material handling, mixing ratios, and curing procedures Maintain high-quality workmanship while meeting project schedules and deadlines Maintain clean and safe work areas in accordance with OSHA and company safety standards Assist with demolition, mobilization, cleanup, and general jobsite organization Perform manual work functions associated with specific jobs Travel to job sites as required Identify and report quality or safety concerns to supervisors Maintain working relationships with crew members, other on-site companies, and customers Travel to various job sites as needed Must report to work at designated location and time Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications:
2+ years of experience in specialty flooring, resinous coatings, or concrete surface preparation, required Experience with epoxy flooring systems, urethane coatings, waterproofing, or industrial coatings, preferred Knowledge of surface preparation standards and coating application techniques Ability to safely operate power tools, grinders, and coating equipment Knowledge of concrete mixes, curing processes, and finishing techniques Demonstrated problem solving and people skills High accuracy in work, attention to detail Proven oral and written skills, required Reliability and thirst for learning Ability to travel as needed Required tools: Finishing tools, dust brush, razor knife, flat razor scraper, 5-in-1 tool, screwdrivers, hammer, wire brush, water nozzle - Company can help procure as needed Physical Demands:
