In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and restoring a variety of flooring surfaces across residential, commercial, and industrial projects. Your expertise will help transform spaces by ensuring high-quality craftsmanship, attention to detail, and adherence to safety standards. Responsibilities Install a wide range of flooring materials including hardwood, laminate, tile, vinyl, and carpet with precision and care. Refinish existing floors through sanding, buffing, water damage restoration, and applying protective coatings to extend their lifespan. Read blueprints and schematics to accurately measure and plan flooring layouts according to project specifications. Use hand tools and power tools effectively for cutting, shaping, caulking, trim carpentry, fixture installation, and floor care. Perform surface preparation tasks such as concrete finishing, leveling, and moisture mitigation to ensure optimal flooring adhesion. Conduct restoration projects involving water damage repair, floor refinishing industry best practices, and general remodeling tasks. Collaborate with team members on construction estimating, blueprint reading, schematic interpretation, and project planning to meet deadlines efficiently. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following all safety protocols and utilizing construction site experience to identify potential hazards. Assist with cabinet installation, construction painting, handyman tasks, and other related duties as needed on job sites. Experience Proven experience in flooring installation including tile laying, hardwood installation, laminate setup, or vinyl flooring. Knowledge of construction estimating processes and blueprint reading is highly desirable. Hands-on experience with hand tools such as saws, drills, caulking guns; power tools including sanders and buffing equipment. Background in construction site work with familiarity in schematics interpretation and fixture installation. Industry experience in restoration or water damage repair is a plus. Skilled in floor care techniques like buffing and finishing for both new installations and refinishing projects. Previous roles involving carpentry tasks such as trim carpentry or cabinet installation will be advantageous.
