Position Summary:
We are looking for someone with a strong background in hands-on construction, remodeling, finish work, mechanical systems, project coordination, and problem solving. This is not a basic labor position, and it is not limited to fireplace or chimney experience. The right person will be comfortable leading small crews, managing multiple small projects at once, making smart field decisions, and keeping management updated while working within a team-focused company system. This role may involve detailed installation projects that include framing, trim, tile, masonry, drywall, venting, gas piping, electrical coordination, and finished interior construction. We need a true craftsman and field leader - someone who can think through a project, organize the work, communicate clearly, manage details, and produce work that looks as good as it functions. Ideal Background This position may be a great fit if you have experience in one or more of the following areas: Trim carpentry Rough carpentry and framing Tile installation Masonry or stone work Drywall hanging, patching, and finishing General remodeling Residential construction Mechanical installation Plumbing or gas piping Basic electrical knowledge Fireplace, stove, insert, or appliance installation Venting, ducting, or chimney-related work Crew leadership or field supervision Managing multiple small residential projects Coordinating materials, schedules, job details, and customer expectations Fireplace-specific experience is helpful, but it is not required. We can train the right person on our products, processes, and installation standards. What we cannot train easily is craftsmanship, leadership, judgment, pride in your work, and the ability to think like a professional. What You'll Do As part of The Fire Place installation team, you will help lead and complete fireplace, hearth, and specialty home installation projects from start to finish. Work may include demolition, framing, venting, setting units, installing surrounds, tile, stone, mantels, trim, drywall repair, and final finishing details.
You will be expected to:
Perform high-quality installation work in residential homes Lead small crews and help keep team members productive, safe, and organized Manage multiple small projects at one time without losing track of details Read job scopes, measurements, photos, and installation instructions Plan daily work, identify needed materials, and communicate project needs early Understand how your work affects the finished look and long-term performance of the project Make sound field decisions when conditions change Know when to solve a problem independently and when to involve management Provide clear updates to managers, coordinators, and teammates Communicate professionally with customers when needed Keep job sites clean, safe, and organized Work independently on smaller projects when needed Work within a team system and follow company standards Bring problems forward early and help solve them professionally Who We're Looking For The right candidate is a high-level "jack of all trades" with the mindset of a craftsman and the maturity of a field leader. You do not need to be perfect at everything, but you should have broad construction knowledge, strong hands-on ability, leadership experience, and the confidence to learn specialized fireplace and hearth installation work.
You should be:
Detail-oriented Reliable and organized Comfortable working in finished homes Able to lead others without creating drama or confusion Able to manage multiple small projects, priorities, and job details Comfortable providing updates and working closely with management Able to make smart decisions while still respecting company direction Coachable and willing to follow company systems A good communicator with customers, coworkers, and managers Safety-minded Proud of clean, professional workmanship Able to balance independence with teamwork This role requires someone who can work under the direction of a manager or coach while still owning the outcome of the job in the field. We want someone who can lead, but also understands that success comes from communication, teamwork, and following the overall design of the company. Requirements Valid driver's license Strong hands-on construction, remodeling, or installation experience Experience leading a small crew, helper, apprentice, or subcontractor team Ability to manage multiple small projects or jobsite priorities at once Ability to provide clear updates to management on job progress, issues, materials, and scheduling needs Ability to work well with managers, coordinators, installers, and support staff in a team atmosphere Ability to use common construction tools safely and professionally Ability to read job notes, measurements, photos, work orders, and installation instructions Ability to lift, carry, bend, climb, and work in various jobsite conditions Willingness to learn fireplace products, venting systems, gas appliances, and company installation procedures Professional appearance and customer-friendly attitude Ability to pass company hiring requirements Apply Today If you have a strong construction background and want to grow into a specialized fireplace, hearth, and home installation leadership role, we would like to talk with you. Apply today and tell us about your experience in carpentry, remodeling, masonry, tile, drywall, mechanical work, plumbing, electrical, crew leadership, project coordination, or related trades.
