Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Floor Coating Installer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for applying high-quality coatings to various flooring surfaces, ensuring durability, aesthetic appeal, and customer satisfaction. Your expertise will help transform spaces through precise surface preparation, coating application, and finishing techniques. Duties Prepare flooring surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and repairing cracks or imperfections using hand tools and power tools. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate application of coatings. Apply various types of floor coatings including epoxy, polyurethane, stains, and sealers with airless paint spraying equipment or brushes. Perform surface treatments such as plastering, caulking, and stucco work to ensure proper adhesion of coatings. Execute renovation projects by removing old coatings, repairing damaged areas, and restoring surfaces to their original condition. Use construction estimating skills to determine material quantities and project timelines effectively. Maintain safety standards on construction sites by adhering to protocols related to industrial painting, masonry work, welding, and the use of hand and power tools. Qualifications Proven experience in construction painting, industrial painting, or related renovation work with a focus on flooring applications. Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics, and technical diagrams relevant to construction projects. Skilled in the use of hand tools such as scrapers, grinders, caulking guns, and other floor grinding/prep equipment Knowledge of color theory for selecting appropriate finishes and coatings for different environments. Ability to operate power tools including airless paint sprayers and concrete finishing equipment safely and efficiently. Basic math skills for measuring surfaces accurately and estimating material needs. Hands-on experience with masonry, stucco application, fixture installation, restoration work, or remodeling projects is a plus.
