We are currently looking for a Tile Installation Specialist for our projects in the Greater Houston, TX areas and surrounding regions for on going projects with marble and granite installation activities. It is to note that we have other projects in nearby states, and the person who is selected for this role might be asked to travel in the longer term upon project completion.

Your mandate:

As part of the construction team and under the direction of the Regional Directors, you will work in collaboration with the various teams and subcontractors on the different worksites for CMC USA. Main Responsabilities Install granite and marble panels on vertical wall applications using both a mudding technique and mechanical anchoring systems. Measuring areas to be covered and planning the layout of the stone panels. Cutting and shaping of the stone to fit specific spaces using hand and power tools. Cleaning and leveling surfaces before installation. If necessary, perform repairs and maintenance on new and existing marble and granite installations Receive and verify marble, granite and other stone deliveries shipped to worksites Assist unloading of bigger panels and set them into place. Safe use and handling of equipment, materials and supplies used in marble and granite setting. All other related tasks. Job Requirements Ability to speak the English language, necessary (Speaking Spanish - an asset) Ability to use equipment and tools properly and safely Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions Ability rig larger panels using stone clamps and straps. Autonomy to perform daily activities according to the work schedule as assigned by the superintendent/foreman. Capable of lifting heavy objects, walking and standing for long periods of time while performing strenuous physical labor. Must be opened to travel for work during extended periods of time. Skill and experience with marble and granite stone setting. Ability to safely handle tools and equipment. Seeked Profile To possess a valid driver's license OSHA 30 training certification.
