Job Duties:
Maintain a safe, professional work environment and follow OSHA regulations and company safety procedures. Review project folders, work instructions, and product data sheets. Prepare materials and equipment required for each project. Prepare floor surfaces, including grinding, shot blasting, sanding, vacuuming, and repairing substrates. Mix and install floor coatings using drills, squeegees, rollers, brushes, and other specialized tools. Clean, maintain, and return tools and equipment to designated locations. Communicate effectively with clients, teammates, and supervisors. Travel daily from the workshop to project sites within Vermont and Northern New York; occasional overnight travel with notice. Requirements:
Completion of or the ability to complete an OSHA‑10 course (or proof of prior completion). Ability to use a respirator and complete a required fit test as part of essential safety procedures. Commitment to a substance‑free work environment. Experience with basic construction techniques (e.g., painting, carpentry). Ability to apply coatings using brushes and rollers. Ability to perform basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions) to determine mix ratios during project work. Ability to read and understand chemical data sheets and follow application instructions. Valid Vermont driver's license and an acceptable driving record. Ability to reliably report to the workshop and travel to job sites. Ability to follow established processes, procedures, and safety protocols. Ability to communicate clearly with others in a team environment. The following physical and environmental demands reflect tasks that are essential to the role and may be performed with or without reasonable accommodation : Ability to remain in a stationary position or move about the worksite for extended periods. Ability to position oneself to perform tasks at floor level, including bending, kneeling, or reaching. Ability to move materials weighing up to 50 lbs. Ability to operate electrical and mechanical equipment such as grinders, drills, sanders, polishers, and generators. Ability to work in a variety of indoor and outdoor environmental conditions, including varying temperatures, dust, and noise levels. Ability to travel daily to project sites; occasional overnight travel with notice. Work Environment Work is performed on residential and commercial project sites, as well as in a workshop setting for tasks such as tool cleaning, equipment maintenance, and preparing materials for upcoming projects.
