Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Hardwood Flooring Installer to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and restoring hardwood floors with precision and craftsmanship. Your expertise will help transform spaces, ensuring durability, aesthetic appeal, and customer satisfaction. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, from residential remodels to commercial renovations, utilizing your skills in flooring installation and related construction tasks. Responsibilities Measure and prepare subfloors to ensure proper installation of hardwood flooring according to project specifications. Lay hardwood planks accurately, ensuring seamless joints and a professional finish. Use hand tools and power tools such as saws, drills, sanders, and buffing equipment to cut, shape, and install flooring materials. Read blueprints, schematics, and installation plans to execute projects precisely. Perform surface preparation tasks including caulking, trim carpentry, and floor leveling for optimal results. Assist with water damage restoration efforts by removing damaged flooring and installing new materials as needed. Collaborate with team members on fixture installation, cabinet placement, and other remodeling tasks to ensure cohesive project completion. Qualifications Proven experience in flooring installation, tile laying, or related construction roles with a focus on hardwood floors. Strong knowledge of construction estimating, blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and site safety protocols. Skilled in using hand tools and power tools essential for flooring work and general carpentry tasks. Experience working on construction sites with an understanding of water damage restoration and floor care techniques. Familiarity with the restoration industry standards and industry-specific certifications is a plus. Ability to read technical drawings accurately and follow detailed instructions for complex projects.
