Job Description
Handley Construction is hiring an Interior Finish Apprentice to assist with the detailed finishing stages of custom residential construction. This position provides hands-on experience in finish carpentry, cabinetry, flooring, tile, and finish fixture installation while working alongside experienced craftsmen on high-end residential projects. We are looking for someone who values detail, craftsmanship, and takes pride in producing clean finished work. Primary Responsibilities Finish Carpentry Assist with installation of baseboard, casing, doors, and interior trim Help with measuring, cutting, fitting, and material preparation Learn proper finish installation techniques and detailing Cabinet & Flooring Installation Assist with installation of kitchen and bathroom cabinetry Help install flooring systems including hardwood and LVP Install trim transitions and finish details Tile & Interior Finishes Assist with tile layout and installation for floors, backsplashes, and showers Help prepare surfaces and maintain clean installation areas Learn proper finishing and detailing techniques Finish Fixture Installation Assist with installation of plumbing and finish fixtures such as faucets, mirrors, towel rods, and accessories Install bathroom hardware including toilet paper holders, robe hooks, shelving, and related finish components Assist with installation of light fixtures, switch plates, outlet covers, and finish electrical trim Help ensure all fixtures are level, aligned, and properly protected during installation Jobsite Operations Maintain clean and organized work areas Protect finished surfaces and completed work Support lead carpenters with daily project tasks and preparation What We're Looking For Strong attention to detail Positive attitude and willingness to learn Dependable and professional on the jobsite Comfortable using or learning hand and power tools Ability to lift materials and work in active construction environments Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
