In this role, you will be responsible for installing, retrofitting, and upgrading windows in both residential and commercial settings. Your expertise will ensure that each project is completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards of quality. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, utilizing your skills in construction, fabrication, and installation to enhance building aesthetics and energy efficiency. Responsibilities Install new windows and retrofit existing window openings with precision and care, ensuring proper fit and seal. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute installation plans. Use hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment to prepare window frames, trim carpentry, metal stud framing, and related components. Perform caulking, sealing, and finishing work to ensure airtight insulation and a polished appearance. Conduct heavy lifting of window units and materials safely while adhering to safety protocols on construction sites. Assist with remodeling projects by installing fixtures, cabinets, doors, and trim carpentry elements as needed. Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and materials while following safety guidelines throughout each project. Requirements Proven experience in construction site work with a focus on window installation or related trades such as carpentry or remodeling. Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, scaffolding, and fabrication equipment effectively. Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately for precise installation. Knowledge of glass installation techniques along with experience in caulking, fixture installation, door hanging, and cabinet mounting. Physical strength for heavy lifting tasks combined with good stamina for long days on-site. Familiarity with construction estimating processes to assess project scope and materials needed. Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills to address unforeseen challenges during installation.
