Job Description
Position Overview Sunshine Daydreams Awnings is seeking an experienced Lead Installer to oversee and perform premium outdoor shade installations throughout the Bay Area. This role is responsible for leading installation crews, ensuring safe and efficient job site execution, maintaining high-quality workmanship, and delivering an exceptional customer experience. The ideal candidate has strong leadership skills, construction experience, and the ability to confidently manage projects from arrival to completion. Responsibilities Lead and manage daily installation crews on residential and commercial job sites Install SunSetter awnings, EasyScreens, EasyShades, and related shade products Read and interpret installation specifications, site measurements, and project notes Ensure proper mounting, leveling, operation testing, and final quality checks Safely operate ladders, scaffolding, lifts, drills, saws, and other installation equipment Train and mentor junior installers Communicate professionally with customers on-site Troubleshoot installation challenges and make sound field decisions Maintain organized tools, equipment, and company vehicles Ensure all installations meet company quality standards and safety protocols Coordinate with office staff regarding scheduling, material needs, and project updates Complete service calls, repairs, adjustments, and troubleshooting when needed Qualifications Required 3+ years of hands-on construction or installation experience Leadership or crew lead experience Strong carpentry and measuring skills Comfortable working at heights and on ladders Ability to lift 75-150+ lbs with assistance Proficiency with power tools and hand tools Valid driver's license with reliable transportation Strong problem-solving and communication skills Dependable, punctual, and professional Preferred Awning, shade structure, patio cover, window treatment, or exterior product installation experience Experience using lifts and fall protection equipment Customer-facing service experience Basic electrical/mechanical troubleshooting Experience training team members Schedule Full-Time Monday-Thursday Typical hours: 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM Occasional overtime depending on project schedule What We Offer Competitive pay Growth opportunities within a rapidly expanding company Hands-on leadership role Supportive team environment Opportunity to help build and shape a growing installation division About Sunshine Daydreams Awnings Sunshine Daydreams Awnings is an Authorized SunSetter Dealer serving the Bay Area and surrounding regions.
