Window Installer - Starting at $22.00hr Job Description The role involves traveling to job sites across the Cedar Rapids and Iowa City areas to perform installations. The technician will be responsible for reviewing work orders and specifications to determine the best installation methods, tools, materials, and procedures. Responsibilities Remove existing windows and doors efficiently and safely. Measure, mark, and modify openings to proper dimensions for new window and door products. Install windows, doors, hardware, metal framing, and decorative trim according to standards. Perform minor drywall patching as needed. Clean and organize the job site after each installation. Communicate professionally with customers and represent the brand. Request customer signatures on completion certificates and support high customer-satisfaction goals. Complete second measurements or field inspections as required. Protect product integrity, avoid damage, and manage materials according to company procedures. Use, maintain, and store company-provided tools properly. Follow all company safety procedures and use appropriate personal protective equipment. Essential Skills Construction experience, specifically in windows and carpentry, with at least 1 year in construction. Strong attention to detail and commitment to craftsmanship. Ability to safely lift, carry, and maneuver materials and equipment. Comfortable working on ladders and in various job-site environments. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Additional Skills & Qualifications Prior window/door installation experience preferred but not required. Professional communication and customer-service skills. Glazing experience is a plus. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $24.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
