Experienced Glazier

Overview Laplace Glass Works is seeking a skilled and dependable Experienced Glazier to join our team. This role focuses on the installation, repair, and replacement of glass systems across both commercial and residential projects . We're looking for someone who takes pride in craftsmanship, works safely, and can handle jobs independently or as part of a crew. Key Responsibilities Measure, cut, and install glass, windows, storefront systems, and shower enclosures Install commercial systems including storefront and curtain wall framing Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and specifications Perform glass fabrication and adjustments in shop and field as needed Seal and finish installations using caulking and glazing systems for weatherproofing Safely handle glass materials and perform heavy lifting as required Maintain a clean and organized job site while following all safety protocols Requirements 3+ years of glazing experience (commercial and/or residential) Ability to read blueprints and understand installation details Experience with storefront systems, doors, and residential glass applications (showers, windows, mirrors) Comfortable using hand tools and power tools Ability to work at heights and lift heavy materials safely Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work Reliable, team-oriented, and able to work independently when needed Preferred (Not Required) Experience with curtain wall systems (e.g., Kawneer, YKK, Tubelite) Basic carpentry or framing experience Valid driver's license Benefits 401(k) with company match Health insurance Dental insurance Life insurance Paid time off (PTO) Steady, year-round work with a mix of commercial and residential projects Opportunity for advancement as the company continues to grow Why Join Laplace Glass Works Established company with a strong reputation (serving Southeast Louisiana since 1984) Balanced workload across commercial and high-margin residential jobs Growth-focused company expanding across the Gulf Coast Professional, team-oriented environment that values quality work
