Job Description

Measure Technicians support our installation services by providing on-site measurements and quality, professional and consistent customer service. He/she is directly responsible for maintaining and improving customer relationships while interacting with customers on a daily basis during on-site home measurements. Measure Technician works with design consultants and to identify and resolve issues prior to production. The position is directly responsible for providing a positive customer experience, accurate measurements, entering and transmitting measurements. We provide a company vehicle.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Communication- Ability to clearly communicate to all departments (sales, production, scheduling) on all products and applications on the day the measurements are taken. This will require clear handwriting, emailing, and detailed sketches.
  • Mobile Office- Being comfortable behind the wheel for up to 6 hours a day going from one appointment to the next.
  • Functions-Driving from customer to customer throughout the day to single-family homes, townhomes, and condo buildings. Reading a tape measure and accurately recording the measurements of window openings. Requirements of reaching over the head, bending, and working safely around furniture.
  • Organization and Time Management- Keeping records of all projects until completion and being able to complete your day of appointments in a timely manner. (Being able to arrive at all appointments within the time frame given)
  • Tech Savvy- The ability to navigate mobile applications as well as web-based applications. (inputting information, quality picture taking, scanning/printing)
  • Respond to and fulfill Shop at Home Consultations request by phone, email and website
  • Develop strong working relationship with the team of designers, stores, other installers
  • Ensures customers requirements and needs are met in a timely and effective manner while respecting BTG culture
