Job Description

Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced siding crew for a full historic exterior restoration and building-envelope retrofit on a two-story home in Sault Sainte Marie, MI. This is not a standard vinyl siding job. We are looking for a crew with experience installing James Hardie products, trim packages, flashing systems, and working on older homes.
Project Details:
Approximately 2,200-2,300 sq ft net siding area Approximately 2,700-2,800 sq ft exterior envelope area Two-story home Historic architectural style Tight side-yard access Scaffold work required
Scope of Work:
Demolition Remove existing wood lap siding Remove existing wood shake siding at gables Protect existing architectural details where possible Load debris into provided dumpster Building Envelope Installation Install WRB/weather-resistant barrier Install 2" continuous exterior insulation Install rainscreen/furring strip system Flash all windows, doors, penetrations, and transitions Siding Installation Install James Hardie Cedarmill lap siding Install James Hardie staggered shake siding at gables Install Hardie trim package Install corner boards, window trim, door trim, and architectural details Additional Scope Install front and rear storm doors Remove one small bathroom window and frame opening for future vent Install porch and rear-entry lattice Perform minor sheathing and framing repairs as needed Complete all caulking, flashing, and finish work
Requirements:
Previous James Hardie installation experience Ability to install WRB, flashing, and rainscreen assemblies correctly Ability to read plans and follow scope requirements Own tools and transportation Valid insurance preferred References from previous siding projects preferred
Pay:
$8,000.00 per week
