Glass Installer / Glazier

Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Glass Installer / Glazier to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and replacing glass in a variety of settings, including commercial, residential, and industrial projects. Your expertise will help create beautiful, functional spaces by ensuring precise and safe glass installations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects that demand craftsmanship, technical skill, and a proactive approach. Responsibilities Measure, cut, assemble, and install glass panels, windows, storefronts, mirrors, shower doors and other glass fixtures with precision. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate installation. Use hand tools such as chisels, putty knives, and caulking guns as well as power tools like drills and saws to complete installations efficiently. Fabricate custom glass pieces in the shop or on-site to meet project specifications. Perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks safely while maintaining proper posture and technique. Seal joints using caulking or glazing compounds to ensure weatherproofing and durability. Collaborate with project managers, carpenters, and other tradespeople to coordinate installation schedules and ensure quality standards are met. Requirements Proven experience in glass installation or glazier work within construction or remodeling environments. Strong knowledge of construction estimating, blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and fabrication techniques. Skilled in using hand tools and power tools associated with glass cutting, framing, and installation. Familiarity with construction site safety practices and heavy lifting procedures. Experience with construction and handyman skills is a plus. Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail to ensure precise measurements and high-quality finishes.
