Window Covering Installer Portsmouth, NH 03801 From $28 an hour - Full-time From $28 an hour -
Full-time Summary:
$28/hr +, benefits, work vehicle, 40-50 hours / week, but flexible. Our office is located in Portsmouth, NH. We expect you to commute to our showroom/warehouse daily to pick up vehicle and product. Today, there are more than 1,300 Budget Blinds franchise territories serving 10,000 cities across North America, installing 50,000 window treatments per week! We offer custom solutions that consumers cannot get anywhere else, including blinds, shades, shutters, drapery and smart home solutions. Budget Blinds is part of the Home Franchise Concepts (HFC) family of brands. As the last person from our company the client sees, you will be responsible for professionally installing a variety of hard and soft window treatments including motorized/automated solutions. This role requires you to be a trouble shooter, adjusting the installation and finding a solution when necessary. We don't take ourselves too seriously, but we take our jobs very seriously. You should have a customer service orientation and great communication skills. We'll ask you to collect balances due, instruct the customer on how to operate and clean their new window treatments, make simple repairs, and always leave the home better, and cleaner, than you found it.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Communicate with customers in a professional manner
  • Understand customer requests and respond timely and accurately
  • Product knowledge
  • Measure homes and businesses for window treatments
  • Install all types of window treatments at residential and commercial job sites; products include but are not limited to blinds, shutters, shades draperies, window film and motorized window treatments
  • Coordinate with the office, sales team, and vendors to resolve any difficulties with installation or issues
  • Participate in lead-generating programs
  • Check-in, sort, label organize and clean the warehouse
  • Effective management of all details of paperwork (orders, product tracking, loading vehicles, pre and post install)
  • Ability to use power tools; handheld drill, chop saw, table saw
  • Communicate effectively with office and sales team
  • Additional duties may be required from time to time
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Must be able to add and subtract fractions and decimals Confidence in the ability to complete install using power tools to create a factory finish
  • Friendly, courteous, and strong customer service skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Ability to manage multiple projects independently and meet deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail and outstanding oral, written and interpersonal skills
  • Professional and resourceful style; high integrity and sound judgement
  • Excellent troubleshooting, analytical and creative problem solving skills
  • Self-motivated with a positive and professional approach to working independently and with a team
  • Proficient with MS Office and other office software and equipment
  • Must be reliable and punctual
  • High school diploma or equivalent completed education
  • Valid current driver's license with no violations within the last 3 to 7 years
WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
  • Ability to speak concisely and effectively communicate in person and over the phone
  • Ability to lift packages (50lbs and above)
